WHO WE ARE

​

After starting her career in the South West of France, Marie relocated to Dubai in 2014 with husband and kids.

Marie graduated from a French Business School (Master's degree) and worked 10+ years as a Project Manager for the #1 property developer in France, overseeing the concept and construction phases of hundreds of housing units.

The most exciting part of the job for Marie was to work closely with architects, consultants and designers on optimizing layouts and space planning, and to visit construction sites to check progress.   

When she joined Dubai, Marie then worked for the main scenery and events décor contractor in the UAE, handling amazing projects such as temporary museums, huge exhibition stands, or decor constructions for product launches events from brands like Cadillac, Cartier, Dubai Government, Ralph Lauren, Le Louvre Abu Dhabi and many more.

Finding the right materials, colours and textures, supervising production of custom-made decors or furniture pieces became a daily routine. After 7 years in the UAE, she can rely on her extensive network of reliable contractors and suppliers to achieve great projects.

These experiences made her realize how passionate she is about all things interiors and about transforming spaces.

To turn her passion into a career and build up on her previous experience and skills as a Project Manager, Marie first completed a Professional Diploma in Interior Design, followed by a Bachelor of Art in Interior design with a University in the UK, before founding her own boutique practice, Islago Design Studio.

Her strong personal inclination for sustainability and her deep wish to be part of the sustainable transformation of the country is prominent in all her works.
